We take off our shoes
Feel cold sand on our toes
Watch the morning rise

Stretch
You’re that itch I can not scratch.
That place just out of reach.
Blue hues
Mediterranean skies
like fresh, warm seas
dive into the horizon
swim among the clouds
immerse in the blue
Another rainy evening
drops fall
dripping, swirling,
forming
thoughts of you
Haiku 45
Claustrophobic air
a warm hint of summer days
the first drop of rain
undercurrent
I got asked to write something happy….not sure if this counts.
The ocean sang. Each wave pitched a note, each tide spoke a lullaby.
She sat on the empty beach. Hands hugging her knees, her bare feet nestled beneath the blanket of sand. A canvas of blue lay before her. Bright. Beautiful. Alive.
The evening sun kissed her face, its warm touch delightful. Its close embrace welcome.
Beneath the glowing light she basked, listened to the ocean song.
Laying back she was happy. She was alone. As the waves lapped her feet she was free.
Falling
Asleep we fall,
Into the waiting dark.
Dream of shadows,
The light consumed.
Leave the light on
Walk out. Shut the door. Just leave the light on. Don’t touch that switch. Don’t say goodbye. Not completely.
A flutter in the park
Caught
You are by far my favourite cage
